Everything Engineer (Backend/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Modernize a mission-critical legacy system for foreign military sales cases into a modern web platform.
• Build TypeScript/Node domain services behind REST APIs, including case lifecycle state machines, document generation, pricing, payment schedules, workflows, and milestones.
• Extract business rules from converted Java, PL/SQL packages, and database triggers, then reimplement them with parity tests and golden-master harnesses.
• Implement append-only audit trails, segregation-of-duties controls, reproducible calculations, and other federal financial controls.
• Rebuild file-based and API integrations with logistics, accounting/ERP, and training-management systems using contract-first development and emulators.
• Contribute across UI, API, database, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines using agentic AI development tools.

Requirements

• US citizenship and eligibility for a US SECRET clearance.
• 7+ years building and operating production web systems, with strong server-side and domain-model experience.
• Hands-on experience with Codex, Claude Code, or an equivalent agentic AI development tool on real codebases.
• Fluency across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Ability to work across the full stack and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Travel no more than once per quarter.

Nice to have

• Ability to read PL/SQL and legacy Java.
• Experience with financial calculation engines, audit-sensitive or compliance-sensitive systems, or complex state machines.
• Experience in regulated or government environments, including FedRAMP, RMF, or IL-related work.
• REST API design at scale or Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration experience.
