Staff Engineer, Ground Systems

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, United States

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Serve as a program technical leader or Chief Engineer for complex commercial and government space programs.
• Coordinate technical alignment across mission software, platform infrastructure, reliability, security, and integration teams.
• Identify and resolve cross-system technical risks, interface challenges, and integration concerns.
• Contribute to technical strategy, system design, architecture development, proposals, and customer technical engagements.
• Conduct technical and design reviews, mission readiness assessments, anomaly investigations, and operational troubleshooting.
• Mentor engineers and contribute directly through design, implementation, prototyping, and technical problem solving.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing, integrating, or operating aerospace, satellite, or mission-critical software systems.
• Experience with satellite ground systems, mission operations, command and control, or flight dynamics and mission planning tools.
• Experience designing, integrating, or operating distributed software systems in production.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, systems integration, and operational reliability.
• Experience leading technical efforts across multidisciplinary engineering teams and communicating with software, operations, infrastructure, and customer stakeholders.
• Active U.S. security clearance required; TS/SCI preferred, Secret accepted. U.S. export-control eligibility is also required.
