Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Piqua, Ohio, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not provided, and temporary visa holders or candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, within the Crane Pumps & Systems business unit, develops and manufactures process flow technology products.

What you will do

• Lead the Quality Management System and daily quality operations, managing Quality Engineers, Inspectors, Technicians, and other quality personnel.
• Maintain and improve compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements, and lead internal and external audit activities.
• Deploy APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and IATF 16949 Core Tools to improve product quality and process capability.
• Resolve customer complaints, supplier quality issues, nonconforming materials, and field failures using 8D, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis, and PFMEA.
• Monitor quality KPIs, coordinate containment actions, and support management reviews and corrective actions.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain while training, coaching, and developing quality personnel.

Requirements

• At least five years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least three years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and advanced knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Experience managing supplier and customer quality issues, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, and using Microsoft Office and quality software.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
• Experience with IATF 16949, AS9100, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
• Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software.
• ASQ CQE, CMQ/OE, or equivalent professional certification.
