Supplier Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Cienega de Flores, Mexico; hybrid / remote. Travel required 25%–50% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead supplier on-site assessments, qualification activities, training, and development programs.
• Act as the quality liaison between suppliers, supply chain, operations, design engineering, and customers when major quality issues arise.
• Drive corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and resolution of supplier non-conformances.
• Lead PPAP and quality improvement activities for new components and major product changes.
• Monitor supplier performance using scorecards, PPM, 8D, on-time delivery, PPAP completion, and ECN metrics.
• Support suppliers in reducing defects and total part cost through Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, PFMEA, SPC, capability studies, and related quality tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• At least 5 years of quality-related experience.
• Experience in at least two of the following areas: engineering, project management, quality, manufacturing, or operations.
• Proficiency in APQP and PPAP, with basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
• Strong leadership, project management, interpersonal, data management, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
• Fluent English required; ability to travel 25%–50% of the time.
