Sr. Manager Data Science (AI)

Salary: $175,700–$206,700 per year, plus eligibility for corporate bonus programs.

What you will do

• Lead the ML and analytics portfolio covering pricing and promotion elasticities, POS and demand forecasting, category and market analysis, audience activation, and models powering AI agents.
• Frame ambiguous commercial questions as modeling problems and deliver forecasting, causal, regression, classification, boosting, and other modern ML solutions.
• Introduce AI coding and analysis agents for EDA, profiling, feature engineering, hyperparameter search, and monitoring with human review at key decisions.
• Establish reproducible ML delivery practices, including CI/CD, versioning, lineage, staged rollouts, monitoring, retraining, rollback, governance, APIs, and model services.
• Coach, develop, recruit, and grow data scientists and senior analysts while setting technical standards.
• Partner with Product Owners, Data Engineering, and build teams to connect model performance with forecast accuracy, margin, conversion, and revenue.

Requirements

• Strong foundations in ML algorithms and statistics, including forecasting, causal and elasticity modeling, boosting, and classical ML.
• Production-quality Python with reproducible pipelines, Git, testing, containers, and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with mature MLOps, ML CI/CD, model and data versioning, lineage, monitoring, retraining, rollback, and governance.
• Daily experience with AI coding and analysis tools plus knowledge of LLM evaluation, RAG, embeddings, vector search, agent workflows, and failure modes.
• Experience leading and developing a data science team and prioritizing work across stakeholders.
• Ability to connect modeling work to measurable business outcomes and communicate with non-technical leaders.

Nice to have

• CPG, retail, or commercial analytics experience, including pricing, promotion, POS, category, or shopper analytics.
• Databricks, Google Cloud, BigQuery, Vertex AI, GKE, and GitLab experience.
• Experience feeding models into agent platforms or LLM-based systems.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent applied experience.
