Senior Manager, AI and Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Princeton, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $150,034–$224,250 per year, plus incentive opportunity.

What you will do

• Develop and deliver AI/ML and GenAI applications that generate insights, support decisions, and improve operational efficiency across R&D.
• Define product vision and roadmaps and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI products from rapid prototypes to qualified or validated production applications.
• Design scalable, secure, and reusable data, AI, and knowledge-engineering components for model training, validation, deployment, and production support.
• Build and guide RAG, agentic architecture, LLM, and other GenAI workflows for pharmaceutical R&D use cases.
• Oversee architecture, solution design, model development, testing, validation, and platform evolution with internal teams and vendors.
• Partner with R&D, IT, cloud architecture, legal, compliance, and executive stakeholders to translate scientific challenges into prioritized AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in data science, computer engineering, computer science, physics, statistics, information systems, or a related discipline; a PhD is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or R, with experience in software or product engineering.
• Experience with data science platforms such as Dataiku Data Science Studio or AWS SageMaker.
• Experience architecting, building, and maintaining large-scale data and AI solutions in scientific, regulated, or research-heavy environments.
• Strong pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences R&D experience and hands-on experience deploying GenAI and LLM applications in production.
• Work is based in Princeton, New Jersey, United States.
