Sr. Manager, Data Science (Marketing)

Location: Oak Brook, Illinois, United States; hybrid

Salary: $129,700–$226,900 annual base pay, plus benefits, 401(k) contribution, and eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders to understand strategies, initiatives, and success metrics, and identify opportunities for advanced analytics.
• Lead, manage, coach, recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists.
• Drive the data science methodology and practices strategy across the organization.
• Lead technical engagements with business stakeholders and senior leaders, and educate users on advanced analytical concepts.
• Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics models and solutions.
• Drive adoption of insights and models, manage external data science vendors, and support measurable business impact.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years directly managing data scientists.
• Expertise in statistics, advanced analytics, forecasting, predictive modeling, network analysis, cluster analysis, and machine learning algorithms.
• Advanced expertise in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks or similar data science tools, distributed computing, large-scale data, and cloud analytics such as Azure.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, change-management, and stakeholder-influence skills.

Nice to have

• Doctorate in a quantitative field.
• Experience leading end-to-end data science implementations with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in analytical consulting.
