Sr. Manager, Data Science (Product & Engineering)

Location: Oak Brook, Illinois, United States; hybrid

Salary: $129,700–$226,900 annual base pay, plus benefits, 401(k) contribution, and eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders to understand strategy, initiatives, and success KPIs.
• Lead, manage, coach, recruit, and onboard data scientists.
• Drive data science methodology, practices, advanced analytics, and machine learning adoption.
• Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models and solutions.
• Translate complex business problems into actionable data science outputs and drive adoption across teams.
• Manage relationships with external data science resources and vendors.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years directly managing data scientists.
• Expertise in statistics, advanced analytics, forecasting, predictive modeling, network analysis, cluster analysis, and machine learning.
• Advanced expertise in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks, distributed computing, large-scale data, and cloud analytics such as Azure.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, leadership, and change-influence skills.

Nice to have

• Doctorate degree in a relevant quantitative discipline.
• Experience leading end-to-end data science implementations with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in analytical consulting roles.
