Field Service Technician (Machine Control)

Location: Warrendale, Pennsylvania, United States; field-based work at customer construction jobsites with travel required

What you will do

• Install and service Topcon Machine Control systems on dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, compactors, pavers, and curb machines.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, hydraulic, electronic, and electro-mechanical systems to improve machine accuracy and performance.
• Research technical issues, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Provide pre- and post-sale technical support through onsite visits, phone, email, and remote support tools.
• Represent the company at customer jobsites and build long-term relationships with contractors and equipment operators.
• Work outdoors in varied conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with comfort troubleshooting electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Customer-first mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Intermediate computer skills for software navigation, diagnostics, and documentation.
• Physical ability to climb onto large equipment and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness to travel as business demands; the role is typically home most weekends.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; a high school diploma or trade school education is preferred.

Nice to have

• Field experience with heavy equipment or construction machinery.
• Experience with automotive, diesel, electrical, or mechanical systems.
• Machine Control installation experience.
