Field Service Engineer

What you will do

• Perform on-site installations, repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance for AutoChem instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot infrared reaction profiling, laser crystallization monitoring, automated laboratory reactor, sampling, software, and application systems.
• Provide customer training, equipment qualification, product expertise, and value-added service throughout the product lifecycle.
• Document, prioritize, schedule, track, and complete service assignments while managing customer issues and escalations.
• Coordinate with Field Service, In-House Repair, Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, and technical support teams.
• Manage field inventory, service documentation, travel expenses, service agreements, and key accounts.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in chemistry, chemical, electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience troubleshooting electronic, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems, or equivalent education, military training, and hands-on experience.
• English is required, with excellent written and verbal customer communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Knowledge of Windows-based operating systems, MS Word, MS Excel, and Internet Explorer.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrared systems, optics, lasers, HPLC, GC, or mass spectrometry.
• Background in chemistry or chemical engineering.
