Field Service Technician I (Electrical/Electronic Systems)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, USA; daily travel to locations in and around Omaha airport and surrounding customer sites is required.

Salary: $64,680–$87,560 per year, plus a Business Profit Plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain field equipment, including Trace and X-Ray technologies.
• Meet daily service repair needs, provide technical support and customer training, and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Document inspections, maintenance, repairs, open issues, and customer reports.
• Order, install, and return parts while managing repair-part cycle time.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment; assess equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Support site surveys, pilot service activities, service sales opportunities, meetings, and collaboration with senior field service engineers and product managers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, related trade certification, or military training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields; 1–3 years of related experience may substitute.
• 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment in the field.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn specialized software.
• Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel at short notice.
• Access to Sensitive Security Information requires TSA vetting and successful completion of a federal background investigation.
• Ability to lift or carry 80 lb, push or pull 200 lb, and move equipment up to 1,000 lb with approved assistance devices; ability to work safely in extreme and confined environments.
