Mission Integration Engineer (Satellite Ground Systems)

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Define and architect integrated satellite ground system solutions for commercial and government missions.
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for customer missions, including CONOPS, operational needs, interfaces, constraints, and success criteria.
• Partner with sales and business development on deal strategy, technical scope, proposals, RFI/RFP responses, demos, and customer design reviews.
• Lead requirements development, interface definition, architecture documentation, verification planning, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate verification and validation across product, software engineering, forward-deployed engineering, customers, and program stakeholders.
• Advise product strategy and roadmap direction by identifying recurring mission needs, product gaps, and reusable platform capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in satellite ground systems, mission integration, systems engineering, technical sales, mission operations, aerospace programs, spacecraft systems, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating complex systems across software, hardware, operations, customers, and program stakeholders.
• Ability to translate mission needs into executable architecture, requirements, scope, and delivery plans.
• Familiarity with satellite operations, TT&C concepts, ground system architectures, mission operations workflows, or spacecraft-to-ground interfaces.
• Strong technical communication skills, including technical writing, presentations, and structured documentation.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required on day one; U.S. Government export regulations require U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility for the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• 8–12+ years of experience for senior or principal-level candidates.
• Government, classified, or formal aerospace systems engineering experience.
• Experience with requirements management, V&V planning, acceptance testing, ICDs, CONOPS, MBSE, Cameo, SysML, or technical reviews.
• Experience with cloud-based ground systems, APIs, automation, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or AWS GovCloud.
• Ability to code or script for analysis, test automation, configuration, prototyping, or workflow acceleration.
