TL;DR
Senior Program Systems Integration Engineer (MILSATCOM): Developing integration strategies and technical baselines for next-generation military satellite communication systems with an accent on requirements management, digital engineering, and space-ground system integration. Focus on leading working groups, resolving integration risks and requirement gaps, and supporting verification, design reviews, and government decisions.

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States, at a secure facility. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $135,000–$169,000 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Develop integration strategies and processes for satellite communication systems and their ground, space, crypto, terminal, subsystem, and component segments.
  • Manage technical baselines and analyze system requirements, verification, and validation activities.
  • Apply digital engineering methods and modeling strategies, including digital twins, to integration and testing.
  • Lead government and contractor working groups, technical discussions, briefings, meeting minutes, and action-item tracking.
  • Assess technical baseline changes, integration risks, interdependencies, schedule impacts, and alternative solutions.
  • Review contractor program documents, adjudicate technical comments, and prepare courses of action for U.S. Space Force stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience and 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with requirements management, technical baseline development, test planning, integration, execution, and verification and validation.
  • Experience developing or managing requirements specifications or Interface Control Documents for complex systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance, ability to obtain Top Secret clearance, and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with MILSATCOM programs such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, or FAB-T.
  • Experience with military personnel, DoD civilians, ground systems, space systems, terminals, and networks.
  • Agile development and collaboration tools experience, including Jira and Confluence.
  • PMP or INCOSE certifications and active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
