Focus on leading verification strategies, technical trade studies, multidisciplinary integration, and traceability for complex aerospace systems.

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or otherwise eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Salary: $158,000–$189,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Lead the development, allocation, management, and verification of system and subsystem requirements for satellite electronics.
  • Develop system architectures, perform technical trade studies, and translate customer and mission objectives into engineering solutions.
  • Manage hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, thermal, and data interfaces across spacecraft systems.
  • Define verification and validation strategies, methods, configurations, acceptance criteria, and evidence packages.
  • Partner with Integration & Test teams on system integration, qualification, environmental, and functional verification.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, support design reviews, and drive risk mitigation and verification-gap closure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, systems, electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, physics, or a related discipline with typically 8–12 years of relevant experience; equivalent master’s or PhD pathways are listed.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, lifecycle processes, and aerospace development practices.
  • Experience with complex requirements development, allocation, traceability, verification, system architecture, interface management, configuration management, and technical risk management.
  • Experience leading technical trade studies, system analyses, design assessments, and verification and validation activities.
  • Experience with requirements-management tools such as Jama or IBM DOORS, MBSE tools such as CATIA Magic/Cameo or MagicDraw, modeling and simulation tools, collaboration platforms, version control, and issue tracking systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.

  • Experience supporting complex aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering programs.
