Operational Buyer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Execute purchase orders, confirmations, invoice verification, and other procure-to-pay activities.
• Track supplier deliveries, follow up on fulfillment, and resolve late deliveries or material shortages.
• Implement commodity sourcing strategies with Commodity Buyers and provide supplier performance feedback.
• Manage critical demand, expedite materials, and escalate supply or supplier issues.
• Maintain SAP procurement data, including pricing, lead times, master data, and supplier records.
• Identify process efficiencies, optimize demand bundling, and improve procurement workflows.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of negotiations, sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and supplier development.
• Experience managing supplier performance and building strategic supplier relationships.
• Experience in a structured procurement environment, preferably manufacturing or industrial.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Ability to work onsite in Houston, Texas.
