Buyer I (Manufacturing)

hirify.global Industrial Coating Solutions develops equipment for applying and curing powder coatings, liquid paint, adhesives, sealants, and food and beverage container coatings.

What you will do

• Manage procurement activities for assigned materials, commodities, and product lines supporting manufacturing operations.
• Maintain material master data, purchasing records, and supplier information in applicable systems.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply terms to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
• Support cost-reduction and sourcing initiatives, scheduling agreements, and vendor-managed inventory programs.
• Build supplier relationships and manage material availability to ensure continuity of supply.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least five years of relevant purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management experience.
• Strong negotiation, planning, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings and product specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to work onsite in Clinton, South Carolina, with an estimated 10–20% domestic travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Lean manufacturing experience or exposure.
