Senior Buyer (Medical Devices)

Location: Audubon, PA, United States. Onsite role.

What you will do

• Partner with contract manufacturers and Planning to align forecasts, production schedules, capacity, and supply risks.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance, manage late items, and conduct supplier visits as needed.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Sourcing, Quality, and Operations on supplier capabilities, quality trends, business awards, and new components.
• Execute purchase orders, manage inventory health, and maintain continuity of immediate and planned supply needs.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities, negotiate purchase prices, and lead procurement process-improvement initiatives.
• Coach and develop the Purchasing Team while maintaining professional supplier partnerships and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, written communication, negotiation, and supplier-management skills.
• Ability to interpret forecasts, drive supply-chain performance, and provide coaching and guidance to the Procurement Team.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong customer-service orientation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Nice to have

• Medical device or related industry experience.
• Experience leading a team or supplier-related projects.
• ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
• Experience with procurement process-improvement initiatives.
