Sr. Buyer, Capital Projects (Remote)

Location: Ohio, United States — remote role with travel to jobsites up to 25% of the time

Salary: $87,600–$103,100 per year, plus eligibility for corporate bonus programs.

What you will do

• Develop category strategies, secure stakeholder alignment, and execute procurement plans.
• Lead sourcing projects through market analysis, RFX processes, negotiations, contract creation, and contract management.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide proactive procurement support for engineering, construction, and capital projects.
• Drive cost savings, value-add opportunities, risk mitigation, and total-cost-of-ownership analysis.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, cost structures, risks, and partnership potential while adhering to budgets.
• Drive executive-level projects and travel to jobsites up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in purchasing, engineering, or a related business field.
• 4–7 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Experience with complex contract negotiation and comprehensive contract lifecycle management.
• Expertise in financial analysis, cost model development, and project management.
• Strong analytical, reporting, communication, organizational, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Computer proficiency with SAP, Ariba, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience working with engineering or construction management teams.
• Additional experience with SAP.
