Procurement Category Manager, Food & Agriculture

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

Salary: $91,200–$210,000 per year depending on U.S. labor-cost zone, plus eligibility for incentive plans

What you will do

• Lead global procurement strategies for food ingredients and agricultural products across multiple brands.
• Manage a $140M–$170M raw-material portfolio, focusing on cost, supply robustness, innovation, and sustainability.
• Build strategic supplier relationships, assess supplier capabilities, and resolve systemic supplier issues.
• Use market intelligence, cost models, sourcing tools, and procurement methodologies to improve value delivery.
• Lead supplier negotiations, commodity hedging and forecasting, risk mitigation, and cross-functional sourcing initiatives.
• Partner with R&D, senior management, and other stakeholders while supporting procure-to-pay issues such as payments and invoices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience sourcing direct materials in a global, matrixed environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, agribusiness, economics, agricultural economics, food science, engineering, natural sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
• Experience with RFPs, cost models, should-cost or clean-sheet analysis, negotiations, and contracts.
• Working knowledge of commodity hedging, preferably for agricultural commodities.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and MRP systems, preferably SAP. Ability to travel up to 25%.
