Senior Buyer

Location: San Diego, California, US; hybrid schedule with four days per week on-site. The facility is ITAR-controlled, and candidates must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.

Compensation range: $83,500–$155,200 annually, with potential eligibility for additional compensation such as annual incentives.

What you will do

• Manage daily purchasing activities and create purchase orders based on MRP demand.
• Maintain purchase order delivery dates and values in SAP and proactively expedite orders.
• Coordinate PO and invoice reconciliation with Accounts Payable.
• Resolve warehouse overages, shortages, and damaged shipments.
• Handle vendor setup, procurement documentation, and expedite reporting for project materials.
• Collaborate with procurement, materials, warehouse, project, and internal partner teams to improve processes and support operational objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or four years of equivalent experience.
• At least five years of purchasing and supplier management experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of contract management principles and practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, decision-making, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Must qualify as a US Person under 22 C.F.R. 120.15 to work at the ITAR-controlled site.

Nice to have

• Experience in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction environment.
• Experience with quality clause flow down and DPAS requirements.
