Transport Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise and support drivers and transport colleagues through visible day-to-day leadership.
• Coordinate driver and vehicle work allocation to improve fleet efficiency and service levels.
• Monitor attendance, performance, welfare, conduct, vehicle condition, defects, and availability.
• Maintain compliance with the Operator Licence, DVSA requirements, drivers’ hours, tachographs, licence checks, and company policies.
• Support investigations into incidents, collisions, near misses, and customer complaints.
• Provide operational cover for the Transport Manager and identify improvements in safety, productivity, compliance, and customer service.

Requirements

• National CPC qualification.
• Experience supervising drivers or working in a transport operation.
• Good knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience with transport management systems, telematics, or driver performance systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisation, decision-making, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with a flexible and proactive approach.

Nice to have

• Experience in car transport, vehicle remarketing, or salvage.
