Production Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Auburn, California, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $26.82–$35.50 per hour

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including engineered flow-control products and pumps.

What you will do

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and calibrate assigned aerospace products, parts, equipment, and systems.
• Perform automated and manual testing, including vibration, burn-in, thermal-cycle, leak, hydraulic, electrical, and performance testing.
• Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, test procedures, failure reports, manuals, and production specifications.
• Create non-conformance reports with testing details, failure results, and initial root-cause investigations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production-test issues and perform product inspections as a designated quality assurance inspector.
• Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, audits, customer visits, safe work practices, and occasional travel.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a related field or equivalent educational experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting methods, circuitry or mechanical characteristics, manufacturing or repair workflows, and computer systems.
• Ability to learn test software and equipment, identify abnormal conditions, perform precise manual work, and use multiple software systems.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills are required.
• Only US Persons may be considered where access to controlled data or information is required because of ITAR obligations.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, manufacturing costs, and Lean production techniques.
• Knowledge of engineering electronics, circuit boards, processors, chips, and computer hardware and software.
