What you will do

• Lead manufacturing operations at the Pennsville drug substance and spray drying site, overseeing approximately 60 Chemical and Physical Operations Operators.
• Manage the Managers of Wet Trains, Physical Operations, and Cleaning Experts, as well as shift supervisors and operations managers.
• Ensure safe, compliant production under applicable federal and state laws, environmental requirements, cGMP, DEA, DOT, IATA, IMO, and SHE regulations.
• Collaborate with Development and Compliance on process design, validations, equipment qualifications, deviations, investigations, rework, and reprocessing.
• Drive first-time-right production, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and improvements in cycle time, capacity, yield, labor utilization, efficiency, reliability, and cost.
• Coach and develop operations teams, establish succession planning, and contribute to the Site Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Chemistry.
• At least 5 years of experience in a comparable leadership role in chemical synthesis manufacturing, preferably in pharmaceutical or life science industries.
• At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing.
• Proven experience applying structured problem-solving methods such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, communicate clearly, and manage performance through a hands-on, data-based approach.
• Strong written, verbal, listening, analytical, and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
