TL;DR
Sr. Manager, Engineering - Final Assembly & FLC AME (Medical Devices): Leading manufacturing engineering teams and optimizing processes for new and existing medical products with an accent on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, quality systems, and regulated operations. Focus on transferring manufacturing processes, delivering cross-functional engineering projects, improving productivity and quality, and ensuring FDA, ISO, and cGMP compliance.

Location: Skaneateles, New York, United States; onsite work across office, manufacturing, and laboratory environments

Salary: $152,000–$209,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead and develop manufacturing engineers and technicians through coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Define and implement the engineering roadmap for SKF products and manufacturing operations.
  • Design, optimize, and transfer manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering projects, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive productivity, waste reduction, quality improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and complex manufacturing or process improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and regulated environments, including FDA, ISO, and cGMP requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project or process improvement certification.
  • Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and manufacturing data analysis.
