Sr. Engineering Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Muscatine, IA, United States; onsite at the Muscatine Factory

Salary: $120,800–$151,000 annual base salary, plus performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Develop and execute an investment strategy covering food safety compliance, risk management, growth, cost reduction, equipment replacement, automation, and digital solutions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with finance, maintenance, operations, supply chain, and other stakeholders.
• Build and oversee a strategic capital expenditure plan, including budgets, resource allocation, and long-term project planning.
• Implement performance monitoring and reporting systems for project execution, financial metrics, and operational efficiency.
• Manage plant equipment, buildings, maintenance projects, utilities, and asset reliability to reduce downtime and operating costs.
• Drive process improvement and innovation while integrating quality, food safety, environmental, health, and personal safety requirements into capital projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of increasing responsibility in plant engineering and project management within manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of full-cycle capital project management experience, from appropriation preparation through field start-up.
• At least 5 years of experience with process equipment and high-speed or automated equipment.
• Strong knowledge of reliability engineering, maintenance practices, process safety management, PSM, mechanical integrity, and FMEA.
• Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, EPA regulations, and codes applicable to food manufacturing operations.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field is preferred, along with project management, engineering economics, communication, coaching, and strategic planning skills.
