Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist III (Fanuc)

Location: Newbury Park, California, United States; on-site, second shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, typically with 1–2 hours of overtime.

Salary: $25.76–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain Swiss CNC lathes and related equipment.
• Load raw material into bar feeders and adjust tool offsets using Fanuc CNC controls.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections with micrometers, calipers, Mahr gauges, and microscopes.
• Read engineering drawings and blueprints, remove chips, and clean finished components.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, sharpen cutting tools, and maintain production logs.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe while supporting precision manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of machining experience.
• Experience operating a CNC Swiss lathe, CNC lathe, milling machine, drill press, or vertical or horizontal cut-off saw.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
• Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment and stand, walk, bend, lift up to 40 lbs, and push or pull up to 60 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fanuc CNC controllers and Swiss-style CNC machining.
• Experience in precision manufacturing or medical device manufacturing.
