Sr Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $155,000–$197,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation.

What you will do

• Develop and modernize full stack applications across cloud-native and hybrid architectures supporting portfolio management and trading.
• Design scalable, secure APIs and rich user interfaces with React or Angular.
• Manage AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using services and tools such as Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Own production operations, change approvals, monitoring, logging, incident response, root-cause analysis, and system health improvements.
• Lead architecture, technical specifications, code reviews, testing, documentation, and delivery planning with business and technology stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, governance, mentorship, and oversight to employees, contractors, and vendor partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Strong full stack development skills with JavaScript, React or Angular, Node.js or Java/.NET/Python, and SQL.
• Hands-on AWS architecture experience, including Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, API development and integration, and testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Ability to lead teams and deliver cross-functionally in a matrix environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in asset management, investment banking, or wealth management.
• Knowledge of front-office platforms and workflows, including SMA, OMS, PMS, risk engines, ETF platforms, and fund lifecycle processes.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Python, event-driven architecture, regulatory reporting, ESG data pipelines, or performance attribution systems.
