Senior Project Consultant (Security)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, United States (remote delivery with occasional onsite travel)

What you will do

• Deliver complex Microsoft identity, Microsoft 365 security, and security migration projects according to approved Statements of Work.
• Design, configure, and harden Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, passwordless authentication, Identity Protection, PIM, and identity governance.
• Deploy and tune Microsoft Defender XDR solutions across endpoints, email, identity, and cloud applications.
• Plan and execute migrations from third-party EDR and email security platforms, including policy mapping, coexistence, cutover, rollback, and stabilization.
• Lead security work across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, including Active Directory assessments and hybrid identity integration.
• Lead customer workshops and solution reviews, manage technical risks and dependencies, troubleshoot implementation issues, and maintain project documentation and status reporting.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience delivering Microsoft identity, security, and modernization solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID security architecture, Conditional Access, MFA or passwordless authentication, PIM, and identity protection.
• Experience deploying and tuning Microsoft Defender XDR and working with Microsoft Purview capabilities such as sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, and compliance reporting.
• Required experience migrating from third-party EDR and email security platforms such as Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Postini, or similar tools.
• Experience with hybrid identity integration between AD DS and Entra ID, legacy authentication remediation, and Active Directory security hardening.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Microsoft cybersecurity, Azure, or Microsoft 365 certifications, including SC-100, SC-300, AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, or AZ-500.
