Sr Identity Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Detroit, MI — hybrid schedule with in-office work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

hirify.global is providing a W2 contract opportunity supporting a Fortune 500 public utility company undergoing a multi-year technology modernization initiative.

What you will do

• Define the enterprise IAM vision, strategy, target architecture, standards, milestones, and operational metrics.
• Inventory and unify identity environments across corporate IT, public cloud, and operational technology systems.
• Create technical diagrams, end-to-end workflows, architectural visualizations, and executable engineering blueprints.
• Identify high-risk areas during the first 90 days and implement tactical remediations alongside the long-term modernization roadmap.
• Architect identity governance, RBAC, joiner-mover-leaver automation, separation of duties, and audit evidence workflows.
• Drive Zero Trust adoption and secure identity lifecycles for AI agents, LLMs, APIs, and automated programmatic workloads.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or enterprise architecture, including at least 5 years in enterprise-scale IAM architecture and design.
• Experience leading identity transformation programs in highly regulated industries such as utilities, financial services, aerospace, or critical infrastructure.
• Experience designing and implementing IAM solutions across hybrid environments, multi-tier infrastructures, public clouds, and on-premises systems.
• Knowledge of IGA platforms such as SailPoint or Saviynt; access management platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, or Ping Identity; and PAM tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or Delinea.
• Strong knowledge of SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SCIM, RBAC, Zero Trust, NIST CSF, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
• Advanced cybersecurity or architecture certifications are required, such as CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF, SABSA, or relevant SANS/GIAC certifications.

• Identity Management Institute credentials such as CIAM or CIMP.
