Senior Identity & Access Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States; remote/hybrid work with occasional in-person collaboration, travel, and at least one in-person interview required.

What you will do

• Design and support hybrid identity architectures across on-premises, cloud, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta environments.
• Architect authentication, authorization, federation, MFA, passwordless, conditional access, and adaptive authentication patterns.
• Apply least-privilege models, role lifecycle management, access governance, and Zero Trust principles.
• Automate joiner/mover/leaver workflows and integrate IAM platforms with HR systems, directories, and SaaS applications.
• Investigate identity incidents, access misuse, authentication failures, and compromise while monitoring identity signals and logs.
• Produce architecture diagrams, standards, runbooks, documentation, design reviews, and best-practice guidance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in security or identity architecture with hands-on enterprise IAM expertise.
• Advanced experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta, including directory synchronization and hybrid architectures.
• Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle automation, role modeling, federation, Zero Trust, PIM/PAM, access governance, and large-scale directory transformations.
• Knowledge of Kerberos, LDAP, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
