Principal Consultant, Cyber Architecture (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead large cybersecurity consulting engagements with hirify.global team members.
• Review and assess client security architectures, identifying architectural, hardening, compliance, and control risks.
• Design secure architectures and technical remediation aligned with PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, NERC CIP, CIS, and other standards.
• Develop strategic, operational, and tactical recommendations to improve clients’ security posture and compliance position.
• Conduct security architecture and controls assessments using frameworks such as CIS 18, NIST 800-53, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity architects, offensive security specialists, and information security governance teams to deliver client outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military or professional experience.
• At least 10 years of IT, security, consulting, or professional services experience.
• In-depth knowledge of AI security, governance, threat modeling, enterprise risk management, cloud security, identity security, security controls, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP, Microsoft operating systems, Linux, containers, and security documentation tools.
• Strong communication, organization, decision-making, presentation, and client collaboration skills.
• Required certifications: CISSP plus at least one approved cloud certification.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python.
• Experience designing and assessing cybersecurity architectures in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of security testing and audit tools such as Nessus and NMAP.
• AI, networking, security vendor, TOGAF, ITIL, or SABSA certifications.
