Digital Consulting Senior Associate (Workday Adaptive Planning)

Location: Chicago, United States; open to candidates in Canada. Travel up to 50% depending on client engagements. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.

Salary: $115,000–$145,000 base annually, with an estimated total compensation range of $128,800–$166,700 including annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Advise clients on financial planning, model design, performance optimization, and business process improvement.
• Lead requirements gathering and manage project workstreams across solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Translate financial and operational requirements into scalable Workday Adaptive Planning models for financial, operational, and workforce planning.
• Configure dimensions, levels, accounts, versions, sheets, web reports, dashboards, and OfficeConnect reporting solutions.
• Develop testing cycles, validate data and integration flows, troubleshoot issues, and communicate risks, actions, issues, and recommendations.
• Mentor Analysts and Associate-level consultants while collaborating with integration specialists and engagement leadership.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or comparable Tier-1 planning tools such as Anaplan, OneStream, or Oracle EPM Planning.
• Experience leading workstreams covering requirements, design, configuration, testing, and client communication.
• Strong driver-based financial and operational modeling skills across forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and structured modeling concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills, consulting experience, and the ability to engage senior-level business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Workday Adaptive Planning certifications such as Adaptive Planning Pro or Adaptive Planning Core.
• Experience integrating with Workday Financials or Workday Human Capital Management.
• Experience with planning integrations, ETL processes, or data transformation pipelines.
