Dist Line Crew Supv NE

Location: New Philadelphia, Ohio; successful candidates must live or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the New Philadelphia Service Center. A relocation package is offered to support the drive-time requirement.

Salary: $132,080 per year or $63.50 per hour. Compensation range: $47.59–$61.87 per hour.

What you will do

• Supervise and direct a line crew during the safe construction, maintenance, operation, and retirement of overhead and underground distribution facilities.
• Perform Line Mechanic A duties as needed, including work on distribution lines and related electrical equipment.
• Coordinate service restoration, line switching operations, and line clearances to restore reliable customer service.
• Direct crew activities, recommend personnel actions, and mentor and develop line mechanics.
• Maintain the safe use of tools and equipment and enforce company safety, accident prevention, health, compliance, and equal employment opportunity programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of qualification as a Line Mechanic A; leadership experience is preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL and a valid state driver's license are required.
• Working knowledge of distribution-line construction, operation, maintenance, repair procedures, electrical equipment, applicable codes, and safety practices.
• Ability to interpret prints and manufacturer drawings, perform switching operations, administer line clearances, and provide effective instructions.
• Ability to work safely with employees, customers, and the public; physical demands are equivalent to line mechanic work and include heavy work.
