Troubleman Field Supervisor

Location: Monrovia, California, United States; on-site at an SCE facility or in the field. The role may require extended work throughout the SCE service territory, up to 50% travel, and incident response beyond normal working hours. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $163,000–$244,400 per year

What you will do

• Supervise line crews, troublemen, and streetlight repairmen in daily operations and assignments.
• Monitor field work, correct unsafe conditions, inspect job sites, and ensure compliance with standards and safety procedures.
• Direct work-order execution, resolve operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Adjust crew schedules and priorities, manage workload and resources, and optimize overtime and crew size.
• Verify crew timesheets, records, and work-order documentation.
• Provide mentoring, training, coaching, and feedback while coordinating with customers, city officials, external agencies, internal departments, and union personnel.

Requirements

• At least two years of combined experience performing or supervising work in an electric utility, including planning, design, construction, maintenance, system operations, field operations, engineering, or construction project management.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.
• Ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects, allocate resources, and meet project timelines.
• Ability to lead employees, adapt leadership style, and provide coaching and mentoring.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments, customers, and union personnel.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Troubleman or E-Crew Foreman.
• Two or more years of experience with electric distribution systems or a Troubleman organization.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and IBEW requirements.
• Experience applying GO95, GO128, GO168, and Accident Prevention Manual rules.
