Working Foreman, Line

Location: Hooksett, New Hampshire; must live within 30 minutes of the Area Work Center. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire, emergency restoration assignments, standby duty, and overtime may be required.

Salary: $65.64 per hour plus incentive; compensation is commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Supervise line crews performing installation, maintenance, and repairs on underground and overhead electric distribution systems.
• Coordinate work assignments, schedules, staffing, equipment, materials, time sheets, and tailboard documentation.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate line-workers while addressing performance, safety, and corrective-action needs.
• Conduct tailboards and truck and trailer inspections, enforce environmental policies, and ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Provide first-response coverage for off-hour emergency trouble calls and work with fire and police services to maintain safe conditions.
• Assume standby responsibilities and temporarily cover Field Supervisor-Lines or Supervisor-Distribution Lines duties when required.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience as a Line-worker I (RG 34.5); supervisory experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus education, training, and experience equivalent to Line-worker I (RG 34.5).
• Knowledge of electrical theory and a complete working understanding of company line-work practices and policies.
• Class A commercial driver's license with Special Trailer Endorsement and a safe driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, climb and work on poles and structures, and provide standby coverage.
