Supervisor, Electric Field Operations- Transmission (Electric Transmission)

Location: Berlin, Connecticut; work is conducted throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts, with travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary.

Annual salary: $126,770–$140,850, with potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead the safe, timely, and efficient construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency restoration of electric distribution and transmission systems.
• Coordinate field activities among employees, departments, utilities, and outside contractors.
• Set safety expectations, resolve safety concerns, and promote continuous learning of safe work methods.
• Prioritize work and assigned resources while ensuring completion within budget guidelines.
• Manage employee performance, conduct reviews, and address performance issues and union-related grievances.
• Support customer issue resolution, storm duty assignments, and the rotational on-call schedule.

Requirements

• Overhead line experience and participation in the Live Line Bare Hand certification program are required.
• Working knowledge of safe construction, operation, and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution infrastructure at secondary and primary operating voltages.
• Five to ten years of related experience; a bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and people-management skills.
• Ability to maintain switching and tagging qualifications and use computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid motor vehicle license required; the role requires outdoor fieldwork, travel, emergency restoration, shift work, weekends, and rotational off-hours on-call coverage.
