Sr. Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, New York, United States

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Define system architectures, interfaces, and system-level requirements for complex space systems.
• Create system models, models as requirements, and simulations to support architecture decisions throughout development.
• Decompose requirements to component levels and lead requirements verification and validation.
• Generate and maintain test and analysis cases with traceability to requirements.
• Lead system- and subsystem-level integration and testing, including collaboration with program teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, software, aerospace, or systems engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a systems or design engineering role.
• Strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools, preferably Cameo and DOORS.
• Proficiency with modeling and analysis tools, preferably MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with requirements management, verification and validation, integration, and testing; ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
