Focus on validating manufacturing processes, driving Lean Six Sigma improvements, reviewing quality documentation, and ensuring successful product launches and tooling transfers.

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; regular business travel by car or airplane, up to 40%

Salary: $72,000–$115,300 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

  • Develop, qualify, onboard, and improve suppliers for non-metallic cowling components.
  • Conduct supplier capability assessments, audits, feasibility reviews, and improvement planning.
  • Oversee tooling transfers and validate tooling installation, process readiness, and supplier controls.
  • Lead suppliers through APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and transfers.
  • Review dimensional analyses, material certifications, capability studies, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma improvements, corrective actions, supplier training, and cross-functional design and manufacturability reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality, supplier development, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Knowledge of non-metallic manufacturing processes, including injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, or composite layup.
  • Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, DOE, SPC, GD&T, and mold flow analysis.
  • Problem-solving experience with 8D, A3, 5-Why, and Fishbone methods.
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications, with strong communication and project management skills.
