The National Basketball Association is a global sports and media organization operating professional basketball leagues, digital platforms, international programming, merchandise, and social-impact initiatives.
What you will do
- Lead the procurement department at China and oversee all local procurement activities and bidding processes.
- Manage procurement for $50–75M in local expenses, with significant year-over-year growth.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to deliver savings, improve service quality, and identify qualified suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Work with the US team and regional offices to share best practices and implement global procurement policies.
- Partner with AP and FP&A to automate and simplify the Procure to Pay cycle while maintaining strong controls; manage a team of 1–2 people.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a multinational organization, including procurement and finance experience.
- Project management and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Strong learning ability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Experience with SAP or Corcentric is a plus.
Nice to have
- Experience in content production, marketing, event execution, or gaming.
