Publications Quality Assurance & Standardization Specialist (Aviation)

Location: Cottonwood Heights, Utah, United States; onsite at the corporate headquarters

What you will do

• Evaluate and continuously improve the quality of processes and procedures in the General Operations Manual and other operational manuals.
• Use Safety Management System principles to assess current and proposed procedures and coordinate changes across Flight Operations, Technical Operations, and Stations.
• Create, write, edit, standardize, and maintain policies, procedures, and operational programs.
• Study operational data and interview subject-matter experts to document company policies, procedures, and programs.
• Work with auditors and management personnel to evaluate effectiveness and coordinate responses and corrective actions involving the FAA, IOSA, DOD, and other agencies.
• Maintain awareness of FAA regulatory and advisory-material revisions and support strategic initiatives across Flight Operations and Fleet Programs.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, English, Technical Writing, or equivalent education.
• Working knowledge of FAR Parts 5, 91, and 121, IOSA requirements, and Safety Management System rules.
• At least two years of experience in management or a leadership role.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• Valid driver’s license; flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
• Clear written and verbal English communication, strong presentation skills, computer literacy with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, and willingness to support approximately 10% occasional travel.

Nice to have

• Five years of aviation experience, including at least two years in technical writing.
• Current valid Commercial or ATP pilot license.
