What you will do
- Act as the primary quality interface with government partners and regulatory agencies, including NSSL, DCMA, and NASA.
- Manage daily external communications, inquiries, customer quality reviews, and external audits.
- Present quality metrics, risk assessments, certification milestones, and executive-level reports to government stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal Quality Program Managers to aggregate program data and align quality strategies with customer expectations.
- Translate customer requirements and corrective actions into internal directives and distribute them to the relevant program teams.
- Collaborate across programs to resolve quality issues and ensure consistent application of quality standards.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in quality engineering, quality management, or program management within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated industry.
- Direct experience communicating with government customers, defense agencies, or regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, or related quality management systems and programs.
- Strong knowledge of government quality and certification standards, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, current U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Ability to build trusted professional relationships and contribute to an inclusive workplace.
Nice to have
- Experience building relationships with DCMA and NASA representatives.
- Experience working in a matrixed or hub-and-spoke organization.
- Experience with complex aerospace system certification efforts.
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills for balancing operational constraints with customer requirements.
