Focus on coordinating engineers and technicians, qualifying new equipment and testing methods, supporting high-voltage electrification technologies, and ensuring readiness for customer audits across multiple sites.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Portugal and hold a valid residence permit or work visa, Portuguese NIF, and Portuguese NISS. The role requires travel of up to 50% across EMEA sites and customer locations.

What you will do

  • Lead and coordinate process validation laboratory activities across EMEA, covering mechanical, electrical, equipment, and process validation.
  • Manage and develop a regional team of engineers and technicians, including workload planning and capability coverage.
  • Define, standardize, and deploy validation methods, plans, procedures, and documentation.
  • Validate cables, terminals, connectors, assemblies, new equipment, and manufacturing processes before deployment.
  • Oversee laboratory capacity, scheduling, calibration, equipment maintenance, and resource optimization.
  • Support new testing methodologies for high-voltage and electrification technologies, customer audits, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical, mechanical, materials engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, validation, test engineering, or quality engineering, preferably in an industrial or automotive environment.
  • Experience with process, equipment, electrical, and mechanical validation in laboratory or test environments.
  • Technical leadership or supervisory experience coordinating engineers and technicians across regional or multi-site operations.
  • Knowledge of cables, terminals, connectors, wire harness assemblies, validation planning, MSA, IQ/OQ/PQ, FMEA, and control plans.
  • Fluent English and legal eligibility to work in Portugal are required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of VDA, LV standards, OEM customer-specific requirements, IATF 16949, or ISO 17025.
  • Portuguese or French language skills.
  • Experience with digitalization, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
