Technical Service & Laboratory Intern (Materials Science)

Location: On-site in Mindelo, Porto, Portugal

What you will do

• Perform routine laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Prepare samples for customer evaluations and internal testing.
• Record, analyze, and document test results, laboratory records, databases, and technical reports.
• Prepare summaries of testing activities and findings.
• Support customer issue investigations through testing and data collection.
• Coordinate technical service requests, track results, and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas according to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to accurately document and organize technical data.
• Fluent English communication skills in writing and speaking.
• Authorization to work in Portugal.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory, internship, or academic project experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality procedures.
• Experience analyzing data and preparing technical reports.
• Familiarity with technical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
