Repair and Overhaul (R&O) Electronics Technician II-IV (Contractor) (Aerospace)

Location: Lynnwood, Washington, United States; onsite repair station work

Salary: $32.30–$41.78 per hour for Level II, $41.93–$53.69 per hour for Level III, and $43.12–$55.21 per hour for Level IV.

What you will do

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic components, electromechanical assemblies, equipment, and systems.
• Read and apply component maintenance manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering instructions, and acceptance test procedures.
• Perform board-level repairs using soldering irons, heat guns, hand tools, and other repair equipment.
• Conduct automated and manual testing using oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, multimeters, bridges, altitude chambers, flow meters, hi-pot equipment, and hydraulic test equipment.
• Document test results, system logs, failure reports, repair records, and equipment operation.
• Resolve customer failures, provide customer support, cross-train less experienced technicians, and support continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Associate degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent experience or recognized education.
• Extensive knowledge of electronics troubleshooting, circuitry, mechanical characteristics, and repair or manufacturing processes.
• Ability to learn test software and equipment, identify abnormal conditions, interpret technical information, and work across multiple software systems.
• Strong spoken and written English communication, logic and reasoning, time management, manual dexterity, and precision coordination skills.
• Only U.S. persons may be considered for duties requiring access to controlled data or information under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, repair costs, and process optimization.
• Knowledge of engineering electronics, circuit boards, processors, chips, computer hardware, software, and applications.

Culture & Benefits

• Work is performed Monday through Friday, with a start time between 4:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., followed by 8 work hours and a 30-minute lunch.
• Repair-station work may involve PPE, loud noise, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, or fumes.
• Occasional customer travel, overtime, and support for customer visits or audits may be required.
• Physical work includes bench-based duties, computer use, lifting up to 35 pounds, and pushing up to 100 pounds.
