What you will do

• Install, modify, repair, and maintain electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment.
• Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components in machinery and equipment.
• Design circuit layouts and wire new electrical test setups.
• Install strain-gauge circuits and recording instruments to measure test-article performance.
• Verify electrical test conditions and troubleshoot electrical test equipment during test programs.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of construction, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of sophisticated circuitry and controls.
• Knowledge of complex safety-system interlocks and intricate warning systems.
• Ability to anticipate and respond quickly to danger signs to prevent equipment damage and lost production time.
• Skill using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic components including resistors, capacitors, and transistors.
