Electrician / Electronics Tech 1 - 3rd Shift

Location: Clinton, Illinois, USA; onsite, 3rd shift

Pay: $19.50–$29.00 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus and additional overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay may be available.

What you will do

• Install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment.
• Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components in machinery and equipment.
• Follow electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other technical specifications.
• Rearrange or install outlets, relays, switches, and light fixtures in existing systems.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit to specified lengths and angles.

Requirements

• Knowledge of fixtures, wiring, and controls including light switches, circuit breakers, fuses, relays, and outlets.
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams showing wiring, fixtures, controls, fittings, and equipment.
• Ability to remove and replace fixtures and controls and perform electrical repairs.
• Ability to test circuits after repairs and installations.
• Skill with hand tools, portable power tools, soldering irons, conduit benders, threaders, and a limited range of electrical test equipment.
