Maintenance Support Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Champaign, Illinois, United States. Onsite Monday-Friday day shift.

Pay: $23.89–$26.56 per hour

What you will do

• Assist maintenance technicians with preventive and emergency maintenance activities across the plant, building, and grounds.
• Perform basic equipment inspections, report deficiencies, and help complete and document work orders.
• Receive, stock, issue, and track maintenance spare parts in the parts room.
• Complete minor building, office, grounds, production-area, and machinery repairs and cleanup.
• Assist with contractor coordination and plant projects as directed.
• Follow safety, security, GMP, food safety, and HACCP prerequisite procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, or forklift experience preferred; forklift experience strongly preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to use computers, tablets, scanners, and other electronic devices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a 12-hour shift and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment and varying temperatures.
