Experienced Maintenance Technician (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Onsite, full-time day shift from 5:45am to 6:15pm.

Salary: $31.30–$35.15, plus a $2.00 shift differential and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair snack food production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment rebuilds, installations, and special projects.
• Diagnose equipment failures using root cause analysis, breakdown failure analysis, cause maps, and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Document planned and unplanned maintenance work, findings, and failure causes in the CMMS.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and P&IDs.
• Support plant safety, GMP, utility reliability, autonomous maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing facility; 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience is listed for the position.
• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, use precision measuring equipment, and document work using a computer and CMMS.
• Ability to work safely with Lockout/Tagout, arc flash procedures, hot work permits, confined spaces, PPE, OSHA requirements, and GMPs.
• Valid driver's license and forklift certification, or the ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift certification.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor facility conditions involving dust, noise, heat, cold, and vibration, including frequent standing, walking, climbing, and lifting.

Nice to have

• Some college or formal technical school education.
• Food manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical or electrical certifications or licenses.
• Demonstrated skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and welding techniques.
