Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician

Location: Onsite at 2196 Manufacturers Blvd NE, Brookhaven, Mississippi 39601, United States; second shift.

Salary: $28.40–$31.90 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, and service vehicles.
• Create and process work orders, assess maintenance needs, identify parts and solutions, and complete repair records, logs, and related documentation.
• Repair and replace brake system components, wheel seals, and tractor-trailer tires in accordance with company and Department of Transportation requirements.
• Receive fuel deliveries, monitor fuel drops for safety compliance, check tank levels, collect and ship fuel samples, and complete required paperwork.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, associates, managers, and other business partners regarding work progress and maintenance needs.

Requirements

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualification under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulation Section 396.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualification under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulation Section 396.19.
• Ability to follow company, safety, ethics, and Department of Transportation procedures.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Office experience.
• ASE certification.
• DOT Transportation Certification.
