Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

  • Perform pre-operative histories, physical examinations, and medical clearance assessments.
  • Provide post-operative evaluations, follow-up care, and patient recovery guidance in collaboration with ophthalmologists.
  • Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
  • Perform specialized ophthalmic procedures, including light therapy treatments.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, eye health, disease prevention, and recovery expectations.
  • Coordinate care, maintain EMR documentation, and follow clinical guidelines, HIPAA requirements, and practice protocols.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted New York Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing and national Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Clinical or hospital experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between office locations.

Nice to have

  • Ophthalmology experience.
  • Pre-operative and post-operative patient care experience.
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures.
